It's starting to get darker and darker everyday and if you have to wake up early to work, you might be up a few hours before the sun! So how do you get the motivation to get our of bed and maintain a positive attitude when it is dark, cold, and rainy? We our based in Vancouver, Canada which gets A LOT of rain. Here are our best tips:
1- Get Cozy and Embrace the Gloominess
This time of year is a perfect excuse to get extra cozy! Light up some candles, wear thick cozy socks and sweaters, make yourself a cup of tea. You can make your workspace and home cozy following this guide we wrote last year.
2- Trick your brain
Get a happy lamp or day temperature light bulbs, Listen to a sound track of birds chirping, get a house plant, and pretend that it is warm and sunny in your mind.
3- Be The Sunshine
You know that person who can turn any situation into a positive one? Call that person and hang out with her/him or better yet, try to BE THAT PERSON! Shine the light that is inside you onto other people. You might have to force it a bit at first but eventually you'll get into the habit of being more outwardly positive and bright.
